The Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this Saturday, April 27. From 10AM - 2PM, you can properly dispose of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs to support ongoing efforts to combat the opioid epidemic that is facing our communities.

The opioid epidemic is taking the lives of far too many of our loved ones and neighbors in Indiana. Fighting this epidemic starts at a local level and it is up to us to raise awareness and cut the supply of prescription drugs that too often act as a gateway to drug abuse.

The following locations will be collecting unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday:

Johnson County:
  • Indiana Board of Pharmacy - Sam's Club, 1101 Windhorst Way, Greenwood, IN 46143 (Johnson County Sheriff Department)
  • Greenwood Park Mall - Sears Lot, 1251 US 31 N, Greenwood, IN 46142 (Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department)
Monroe County:
  • Indiana State Police Bloomington, 1500 North Packinghouse Rd., Bloomington, IN 47404 (Indiana State Police)
Clark County:
  • Jay C Food Store, 9501 County Road 403, Charlestown, IN 47111 (Charlestown Police Department)
  • Kroger, 1027 Jeffersonville Commons Drive, Jeffersonville, IN 47130 (Jeffersonville Police Department)
  • Indiana State Police Sellersburg, 8014 County Rd 311, Sellersburg, IN 47172 (Indiana State Police)
