Hollingsworth named to three House Financial Services Subcommittees

Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, members of the House Financial Services Committee received their subcommittee assignments. Representative Trey Hollingsworth will serve on the following subcommittees:

  • Capital Markets, Securities, and Investment Subcommitte;
  • Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee; and
  • Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee

"With yesterday's subcommittee assignments, Hoosiers can feel confident knowing that they have a loud voice representing not only Indiana's interests but also sound, responsible fiscal policy," said Representative Trey Hollingsworth. "I look forward to working with my colleagues on these subcommittees, as well as the House Financial Services Committee as a whole, to ensure a strong and growing economy. I am committed to improving access to affordable capital so that American businesses can expand and increase wages for hard-working Hoosiers. Additionally, I take seriously the responsibility to conduct ethical and comprehensive oversight of unelected bureaucrats who, if left unchecked, have the ability to impede the flow of capital. At the end of the day, capitalism cannot exist without capital."

The Capital Markets, Securities, and Investment Subcommittee oversees capital market activities, including business capital formation and venture capital; market structure securities and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee oversees the Federal Reserve’s conduct of monetary policy as well as multilateral development lending institutions and international trade. The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee has oversight jurisdiction of all agencies, departments, and programs within the jurisdiction of the Financial Services Committee.
