Ensuring that senior citizens across Indiana's Ninth Congressional District are treated with care is a high priority of mine in Congress. I recently toured two senior care facilities to hear how our communities are working to expand treatment for Hoosier seniors. Take a look:
At the Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community, I toured the independent and assisted living facility and discussed the renovations made and the strides taken to accommodate over 500 senior residents.
In New Albany, I toured Hellenic Senior Living, a newly built senior living facility that provides affordable housing to the senior citizens in our community.
In Congress, protecting seniors' access to care, housing, and financial assistance are important issues on both sides of the aisle, which is why I supported the Protecting Seniors' Access to Medicare Act (H.R. 849) to put patients, not the government, at the center of our health care system.
Additionally, my office works every day to help seniors who are having issues with VA benefits, Social Security payments, or Medicare coverage. If you or anyone you know is having difficulties cutting through the government's red tape, please reach out to the Jeffersonville office at 812-288-3999 for assistance.
